Worlds Toughest Dog Toys

By Gabe Swanson

Building a checklist just isn't simple. There really are two great problems when any list, it has to be up to date and widely accepted. How in that case will we do that? Different writers operate with different listing strategies, ours will be to check out Amazon and search around for all those hot toys which are preferred by owners of belligerent chewers followed by sorting all of them by average customer review rating.

Behold, our list of the most durable toys on the face of the Earth.

Chuckit Ultraball

Chuckit is one of the most popular brands when it comes to tough dog toys. The top 4 in the list are all from Chuckit, although they are all balls and ball launchers. The top one on the list is the Ultraball. It is more expensive than tennis balls, but they have a 5 star rating given by almost all people who have purchased it. From Labrador owners to pit bull owners, they are all happy with it.

Whether it is enjoying taking part in a dry land game or in some H2O, the Ultraball may very well be top selling pup toy around.

Chuckit Max Glow Ball

The glow ball from Chuckit is cheaper than the Ultraball. Many people like it because of its glowing ability as they can use it in winter or after the sun has set. Just holding it under a light source for a couple of minutes is enough to keep it glowing for a few hours.

Of course since it they are on this list, they are one of the most indestructible dog toy balls to ever look a dog in the mouth.

KONG Classic

KONG is another terrific tough dog toy brand and their classic toy is very popular. It is virtually indestructible according to most users and you can put treats inside them, which will keep your pet occupied for hours. Great for deterring misbehavior and reducing energy levels in hyperactive dogs.

West Paw Zogoflex

This is another great toy because it is bouncy, it is tough, it floats and it has a treat center. Humans may find it extremely irritating, if they were to play with it. Dogs, however seem to be fascinated by it and dogs don't mind spending the whole day in figuring out how to get at the treat. Plus they cannot chew it apart either.

Kyjen Hide-A-Squirrel

This toy isn't a very tough one, in that hardened chewers will rip it apart in hours. Yet it still finds a place on our list because of the shear weight of recommendation. This toy has the maximum number of reviewers and still manages a 4.5 star rating. It is fairly durable, has three squeaky squirrels inside to find and remove. From terriers to Labradors, to Doberman, owners claim that this is one of the best toys for your dog. And as long as your dog is not a very aggressive chewer, will last you months.

Different people have different prerequisites for their dogs. This list only attempts to compile what the majority of pup owners have said about dog toys on the market today.
