In many cases, dry eye can be caused by an alteration is the tear duct function. Tears are mixture of lipids, proteins, and enzymes, and have many purposes. Tears actually kill harmful bacteria, so it is a good idea to have a good cry periodically in order to keep the eyes free of germs.

Glaucoma has to be treated aggressively and the sooner this disease is diagnosed, the better the chance of defeating this eye disease. The problem might be caused by a much less serious condition such as lack of moisture in the eye. This problem can be treated by using natural eye drops whenever the eyes start to feel irritated or itchy.
