People who breed rabbits and put it on show must be able to construct rabbit hutches for their pets. It can be made out of welded wires with large-spaced holes; these are for the purpose of accommodating the rabbit's feet without hurting them. It is advisable that you a cage riser be added so as to separate the rabbit from its wastes. And for more convenience, the food, food containers, and water cans should be inside the hutch together with the rabbit.
Here are the steps in making rabbit hutches:
1.Have a piece of welded wired cut into 31 inches long and 24 inches wide. Cut two wide 11-inches along its width measurement.
2.Having the 11 inch wires, fold each in half along the long section measuring at the 12 inch line.
3.Now stand the folded wire on its side, then join the sides of both welded wires creating the walls of the hutch. The end shape would look like a rectangular one. To secure the wires together, use J-clips and attach it to both sides using the pliers.
4.For the next piece of welded wire cut out, measure 12 inches long and 19 inches wide; cut it. This would serve as the floor of the rabbit coop. Now from the bottom of the rectangular edge, measure 2 inches; this will be where the floor is going to be placed. In this setting, the floor of the rabbit hutch is raised higher, enough to allow the waste of the rabbit to fall on any waste absorbent material you place under. You are sure to keep your rabbit clean all the way. To secure the floor to each side, use J-clips.
5.Carriers would need top covers. Cut a piece of welded wire measuring 24 inches long and 14 inches wide. With the use of the pliers, bend the 3 sides of the wire piece for about 2 inches down. The last edge will be the part wherein the hinges will be attached. Again, with J-clips, lock the corners of the folded sides together.
6.To make hinges, loosely attach the unfolded side of the cover to the parallel side of the carrier.
7.The galvanized wire is then placed and attached in the central part using C-rings. Finish the coop off by placing it in 28-quart rectangular Sterilite container.
