By Paul Hill

So there comes a point in each kid's life when they ask their parents for his or her 1st pet. A tentative period for almost all parents as they understand only too well that in no time at all; the novel idea of the new pet may have worn off and the responsibilities left behind for you.

Cats and Dogs are fantastic domestic pets to enjoy at home but need an incredible level of care and consideration. There's also huge financial implications related to keeping a cat or a puppy; meals by itself can be very pricey without the prospect of astronomical vet expenses.

The solution to all of your problems is Sea-Monkeys, the no hassle pets that requires minimal care and attention and are extreme fun to keep.

Just what are Sea-Monkeys?

Sea-Monkeys are a category of aquatic crustaceans, also known as brine shrimp. The Sea-Monkeys are artificially created by going through scientific procedures to hang up their living state until finally brought to life by their pet owner. You can be forgiven for believing that this may seem like an extract from a science fiction book; mainly because it does, I was not assured until I bought some for my 2 year old daughter and we viewed the miracle in front of our very own eyes.

Setting up your own Sea-Monkey environment.

When you purchase your Sea-Monkey kit, you will be issued with all of the equipment and tools to be able to bring your creatures to life and see them develop. The first thing to do is to create a favorable atmosphere. Your kit will possess a water purifier tablet, added to regular tap water and left overnight will give the ideal environment for your Sea-Monkeys. The following component is when the real wonder takes place.

And then there was life!

The 2nd part of the Sea-Monkey voyage is to give life to your creatures. Simply just putting the Sea-Monkey crystals in to the water will release the eggs and prompt the pets to hatch. This truly is a fascinating sight to behold. I for one cannot take my eyes of the container. After only a couple of hours you can observe the small creatures swimming inside their brand new home. The only additional thing you must do now is feed your brand-new pets, every Five days to start with and then more regularly as they grow.

The ease of setup and the excitement your little one are certain to get from these remarkable little creatures make them an ideal 1st family pet. It is also a great way to offer a little responsibility to your child, letting them take charge of the Sea-Monkeys health will provide you with a great indicator of how your child will cope with a pet which requires a bit more time and care.
