The benefits of socialising a dog correctly

By Colin Seal

One of the worse things that may happen to anyone is to be bitten by a dog. This can be a pretty serious difficulty for the victim and the dog keeper. Therefore, prevention probably through correct socialization and an electric dog fence is vital. Nonetheless you do not have to wait this to occur since there are different ways to prevent such an unfortunate situation.

Target Dog Social learning

Except for using electric dog fence, expose your dog to a range of situations relentlessly and under controlled conditions. Be wakeful and don't put your dog in a situation where it feels threatened.

Teach your dog to behave as well as the fundamental commands such as "sit," "stay," "down," "no" and "come" to foster a relationship of obedience and trust. Dogs should be taught by their owners how to behave in a human environment.

Ensure each relation learns and practices the same coaching strategies. You need to all become involved in the dog's education.

Earn your dog's respect through consistent and positive coaching. Defend your dog from possible threats indoors and outside as well as responsible management.

Reward your dog for listening and respondent behavior.

Vaccinate your pet for rabies and ensure that these animals are constantly examined by veterinarians. Help them to stay healthy and well-fed. Be wary regarding any changes in behavior. Remember that sick dog and those hurting are more susceptible to biting.

Do not teach a dog any assertive behaviour and avoid rewarding your dog by mistake. Desist from entering into rough games with the animal. Dogs play to sanction rank in a committed relationship. The human must act as leader of the pack.

Be a responsible dog keeper. Always utilize a leash outside when there aren't any electric dog fence and keep your dog from approaching other people and animals.

If you are in a yard, make sure the fence is of acceptable height. Keep watch over the dog when it is out in the turf. Remember, correct supervision and management can forestall most dog bites. Dog exercise takes away unwarranted pressure from dogs and affords them a positive avenue for their energy.
