Symptoms That Your Kid May Have Autism

By Penelope Mossey

Do you know the signs of autism in children? There's no very clear answer, but there are many symptoms that may indicate a problem and these should be carefully evaluated by a doctor or autism specialist. Typically the first signs and symptoms of these disorders will be in infants, and are characterized by developmental delays. By 1 year old a kid should coo and babble, and they should be able to gesture using their hands and wrists such as waving and pointing. By 16 months old the kid must be saying single words and phrases at least.

Kids who display signs and symptoms of developmental delays should always be assessed for any autism spectrum problems. Early medication can have a great effect on the capability of the kid eventually in life. Any child who doesn't use short sentences, or at least words that include more than one word, by 2 years old may need proper diagnosis and medication for autism. Children build up at different rates, but if the kid is past the point of even the slowest learning level and difficulties are noticed then professional help might be necessary.

Autism in children is just a word used when the child doesn't develop like most kids. The degree of developmental delay can be minor or very extensive, and each case is individual and unique. The child may not respond to some others in an appropriate manner, and violent or severe tantrums might be noticed.

Children who have any degree of autism might not respond when called by identity, and these children may not be able to verbalize their needs and likes effectively. The child might crave order and routine, and any changes might lead to big problems with the kid. Any child who appears to regress to an earlier developmental level need to be evaluated right away, mainly because autism symptoms could appear at any age.

Diagnosing autism in kids might take some time. A doctor will usually perform tests at particular time periods to evaluate simply how serious the delay in development is and what exactly the ideal treatment methods must be. The issues suffered by the kid could vary from mild to severe.
